Kylarra woke exhausted, worn out, beyond depleted. She lay in bed, staring at the rafters of the home she’d grown up in all her life. Her entire existence . . . it was built up in her mind. Were they all lies? Out of nowhere, she remembered the conversation she’d shared with Mila when that […]
“You’re kidding. Right?” Kylarra Knox stared at her mate, Verrick Conrad. She didn’t just stare. Her jaw all but dropped on the damp pavement. They’d stopped for a rest and bathroom break after she threatened to leap off the motorcycle, or pee on the bike. That one got the reaction. Verrick’s pack didn’t bother to […]
Goes with Chapter One. As stated, I’m sharing two for my mistake. Stone twitched. The moment was gone and he said to Lee, “Tell me where he went. Then you leave.” For the strangest reason Ellie cut in, “You can’t!” After all this, he’d let him go? “I will,” Stone confirmed. “Stone—” Ellie began. He […]
I can’t believe I never posted this! Bad Kim. I’m so glad that I’m updating all these books pages because one – I never would’ve seen that I didn’t post this. Two – many of these pages look a mess. Not professional. If there was always one thing that has been important to me – […]
Where the hell am I? What happened? Cody Morgan found herself on a sandy beach. Her jeans were soaked through. Sand covered the darkened fabric as well as her t-shirt. The cold wind whipped her hair about. She peered over her shoulder, tugged the shirt, and noticed patches of the fabric were gone. Around the […]
Chapter One Days after Cameron and a few of the other Raaka clan—her clan, she was disgusted to admit—nearly killed Julian, Kat was stunned to find Julian cooking breakfast for her in the morning. Well, what was their morning hour. Because close to a week prior, he nearly died. Humans made breakfast in the morning […]
And so Mila and Stefan’s story begins. They aren’t in a huge storyline yet. I decided I would pick up their tale from the castle and go from there. It starts where I left Claiming the Enchantress. Figured I would but wasn’t sure. Never know how a story will start or where it will go. Turns […]
I should’ve known that Julian was paying that much attention. Let’s face it: sometimes guys don’t. I love y’all! But you could stand in front of something and not see it at all. Ya know that. And I admit, I didn’t think Julian wasn’t focusing on those little clues about Verrick. But my beautiful man […]
Getting even closer to the end. I was hoping that Mila and Verrick would show in this book. Sort of a hint of both at the end-ish so that when I continued into this tale (through the next two books), it’s almost like a carrot dangling in front of a horse encouraging him to follow, lol. […]
The sun drifted lazily through the boughs of the trees. Feeling no need to push on such a relaxing day, the rays shimmered and filtered amongst the feathery tendrils. A mixture of evergreens, oak, fir, pine, cedar, and even a few old redwoods. None of them competing for space, all of them working harmoniously together to create a fluid canopy of golden green.
I did a post a while back on the moment in the books that we’re introduced to Stone. I’m endlessly fascinated with Stone. There’s always more to find out. The way he looks, the way he acts, the way he thinks.
Working on Under Empty Stars today so I’m going to be sharing a snippet from the book. I am going through my deep edit round, which puts me far ahead of schedule, so I’m hoping nothing comes up to slow me down. Should be fairly straight-forward from here.
“Stone went down. Hard. The leaves raised from the ground and settled down as if a large tree had fallen.”
The book I’m currently editing is Under Empty Stars. And today’s snippet will come from that book. Then there was her. The one who wouldn’t let him. Kept touching him, feeding him. Heat built inside him and he flipped the small switch upward on the console. He’d avoid focusing on her. Needed to anyway. Distraction. Nothing for […]
“What did it make you remember?”
Been a few weeks since I’ve posted a free Friday snippet. Apologies. Just a quiet time for me. Today, our snippet comes from the novel, Daughter of the Red Planet. This is the first time we’re introduced to Stone.
Taking a break from editing Sylphline Realm – Royal Blood. Moving right along. Less than a hundred pages left in the book before going over it for a final perusal (quick read) and sending to Jeanie. Forgot to post this yesterday on Friday, but still, it’s my Free Friday Snippet! Today’s snippet comes from the first book […]
Today’s Free Friday Snippet comes from Hope of the Future. The first book that sets the stage for The Guardian of Life Science Fiction Fantasy series.
Little more background on Kylarra and Verrick’s relationship with this snippet.
Yipperdoodles! Jeanie sent me Sylphline Realm – Royal Blood last night as she said she would. It was too late for me to really start in on it. I may not get much work done today either. I’m working on the paperback for Sylphline Realm – Crown of Ice which also happens to be where […]
