On Saturday morning I sent Scorched Silence to Jeanie for her first thoughts. I finished on Friday night, at 5pm, but I didn’t actually finished everything until Saturday morning because I wrote up the background for the world. In this one I wanted to prep her a lot more than normal because of a lot of the background information isn’t even included in the first book. It’s an enticement into the world.

So that way she’d have a good understanding of what plans I have for the world by what is in that background, not necessarily what I have in those books. In the first book especially I go really light on the world itself, and only some background bits. With a hint into the real story.

It took me a good bit to write up and I have to make dinner at 5pm so I didn’t spend more mental energy on doing that after having spent most of the day editing. Friday I’d given up writing to be sure I made the deadline and still had to work late.

Mental space was bad this morning too so I didn’t get much written in the story below, but there’s something.
