I’m sure you’ve seen the “memories” that Facebook pops up in your face to share. This one just came up on my Timeline.
Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 5:23pm – Which Title grabs your attention?
That is too funny. I published Dark Illusions at the end of 2011 and back then it was titled “Awakened: The Beginning.” I noticed too many authors who were publishing books with that title “Awakened” and wanted something different. I knew I couldn’t compete with established authors and didn’t want the same title as everyone else.
Dark Illusions was born shortly after that post! lol Granted, back then I was also under a different pen name, and then I changed it again (advice: don’t ever go that route – live and learn) just recently. For me personally it’s been a good choice, but changing a title or a pen name is like a reset button. You’re going to have to work doubly hard to get the attention back and say HEY, you who liked my books? I’m over here!!! That means: it is a lot of work. DON’T follow what I did.
