Writing Journal – 9-28-2014 – Beginning

Love train tracks – Via Morguefile

Afternoon pondering.

I read something recently from Susan Dennard about her keeping a writing journal. She does it for herself (offline), which is what this is going to be done for, yet I will probably do it here. This way I keep myself accountable, a lot easier.

There’s not much to it. Journal about your writing. Simple enough. Same as I’ve been doing, that I learned from Holly Lisle doing it for herself. Word count mostly, but everything else as well. But maybe a bit more in-depth in some ways. As in, when I’m frustrated with my characters, I will be venting here. When I have random thoughts, I’ll do it here too. I don’t know what it will be about, but it will be the genuine thoughts that I have at that moment.

Right now, I’m back and forth in the focus department. Mostly because a lot of the distraction at home. We have one more male to neuter and two more females to spay. Our final male is having a tough time of it, but I’m hoping that the female who is currently in heat, is over now. They last 3 weeks – yikes! Poor Cruz is having to take my older dog Sabrina’s sleeping biscuits at night to help him. I try to give him extra dinner and lunch because he doesn’t focus on eating during this time, either.

So this will be thoughts as usual, but a little deeper, as well as word counts. Maybe it will help people who read my books–and care, because let’s face it, some just want to be a fan, which is all right, I do that as well–to see what goes on behind the writer’s mind. Maybe also with anyone who is getting into this. It’s not all lollipops and chocolate. Although there should be more chocolate, amIright? Shyeah.

There is never too much chocolate.

Something else I was going to say, but I’ll save it for later. Maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by, reading, and commenting! P.S. I'm NOT the radio Kim.
